This week has been killer on the busyness scale. :) Normally I have a little time to myself... not the case! Monday, Cienna had a doctor appointment to scope her trachea. Her regular MD was worried about how frequently she was getting croup (the nasty, barky cough and the labored breathing). So we went to the ENT who tried to exam her a couple of times. She totally FREAKED out!!! Screaming, kicking, hitting, clamping her mouth down, and squirming were only the half of it. The ENT decided that he would have to sedate her to scope her... no duh!!! Then he changed his mind and decided to just order a neck CT scan. He said he felt something abnormal at the bottom of her trachea and that the scope would not reach that far. So we left with an appointment for a CT scan on Friday. Tuesday was normal crazy. Wednesday, Calli and I had a photo shoot for the dance studio that I work at. She is on the competition team and I am staff so we had to be there. We got there at 10:30am and did not leave until 3:00pm. One seriously long day! They did our hair and make up and pampered us beyond belief and took some incredible pictures though. I am afraid I am going to spend a small fortune on pics of Calli because they were all so amazing! Again, Thursday was nothing new... busy. Friday rolls along with Cienna's CT looming. My mom decided to drive from Wyoming to be of moral support to me and physical support to Cienna. When we get there I ask how they plan on doing this with my uncooperative 3 year old. They said it shouldn't be a problem... they have specialists that deal with this type of stuff all the time. Blah Blah Blah. I seriously laughed out loud. Didn't they hear the screaming from the child running up and down the halls of the hospital while her grandma chased her? Didn't they see the hair cut that the 3 year old gave herself? Didn't they know my daughter at all? Apparently not!!! I explained to them that I might get her to cooperate for a few seconds while the picture was taken, but it would require some bribery. Next, this man who probably knows nothing of normal toddlers, let alone MY toddler, informed me that they had to start an IV because they needed a contrast picture. I just laughed and told him that he was on his own. Eventually we decided to bring her back next Friday for a full sedation. Thank You!!! It sounds a little scary, but I think it will be so much better in the long run.
Now it is Saturday... my house is a mess... Brian is off fishing and wakeboarding... and I am completely exhausted. Oh well I guess that is the life. On a happier note, I lost 5 pounds in the last two weeks! Yay for me! I am almost done with the entire series of Friends. It is so hilarious. I remember watching this show when I was younger and I remember it being funny, but watching it as an adult is so much funnier. I get so much more of what they are talking about. :) Next is One Tree Hill. I have seasons 1-3 ready and waiting. We don't have cable... can you tell?
