Winds of Change

Yup... the winds of change are blowing for the Candelaria family. We went this weekend to Evanston, Wyoming for Brian to take some tests for the police department. We also got to visit my mommy and we got strep throat. I know... pleasant, pleasant, not so pleasant! On Thursday night Brian took the written test which was about 3 hours long and was just math, language, and reading comprehension. Brian said the test was pretty easy and that he didn't struggle with any questions. We got the results back and all it said was that he received a 12.9+. We had no idea what that meant but knew that he must have done pretty well. The next morning he woke up early to go to the rec center to do the physical test. He did well on this test also. He had to run a mile and a half and he said that that about killed him because the elevation is so much higher than where we are now... but he did what he needed to do. There were about 20 people there and about 8 got an interview time for that same day and Brian was among the 8. I was so proud of him!!! He had his interview and he said that he felt it went really well. He said there were some tough questions but he just answered the best he could and moved on. In the interview they said how impressed they were with his score because there is no 13 on the grading so as far as they were concerned he got most, if not all, of the questions right. :) That is my hubby!!! We should get a call sometime this week telling him if he should come back for some more testing/interviews. We are really keeping our fingers crossed and praying for him to get this job. I think it will be so amazing for him. He is so smart and should be doing something with that. He is such a good man and I think he deserves the best out there... but I guess I may be a little biased. Anyway, wish us luck and keep us in your prayers for this amazing opportunity! Thanks! Love and miss you all!

Ash, that's so great!! Please tell Brian congratulations from me and Eddie. He is SO smart and he'd be an awesome police officer! I bet he could even get into some sort of special unit within the police...maybe even work for the FBI someday! When I saw the title of your post, I laughed because it made me think of our last conversation and how you are just ready to go somewhere new! Well...maybe you will now!!

Weird huh? It's not the most exotic of places to go, but I will be happy to be closer to my mommy and for Brian to have an awesome career. We will let you know for sure when we find out anything. :)
